today is the end. the end to a week of colors, the end of another week and also the end of the month.

Growing up, my mummy always told me to eat my greens and I wouldn’t. Today I can’t get enough of green food. (and because I know better now…)
As a mother today I try to get my kids to eat their greens and they don’t…..hmmm.
I hope as they grow up they’ll learn to love them like I do now.

In the last 2 weeks the weather has changed drastically. It’s much cooler than it was 2 weeks ago and it’s still dark at 6 in the morning. I’m loving it, I’m so glad it’s cooled down.

p.s to answer your questions Francesca – I do get to go out but not nearly enough. And when I do I always seem to have forgotten my camera. I’m hoping I do better this time around. And yes the winter photo’s are from last winter. Snow hasn’t come yet, thankfully.

it’s Friday afternoon and my son is home from school. He’s happy! Actually he’s been happy all week, except for the early mornings. those are still hard but I think in time he’ll get there.
I’m also happy. Happy that my kids have had a good week at school. happy and content with the chaos that happens in the morning before school and loving the routine and bedtime stories.
I love it all.

School’s started and so summer is definitely over.
Memories are locked away in my head and heart, but I’m glad I have photo’s, they bring up so many emotions.

today was the first day of school, and everyone was excited. even Joshua. even if it was his first day!!
this year I have an 8th grader, 3rd grader and pre-k.
everything went smoothly and JJ is excited to go back again. that’s a good thing.

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about Kazakhstan, it’s how each season is very distinct. remember I’ve never lived in a country where there’s 4 different season’s!! And oh my summer here is scorching. It’s hot!
The sun is mighty hot and we stay inside almost all day and then in the evenings we head out for some fun, when it is a little more forgiving.

so we’re back at home now. Actually we’ve been home for a week and it’s been good.
good to sleep in my own bed. good that the kids can go outside and play with their friends and good to have some home cooked meals.
Yes we’ve been travelling and moving around a lot that I never thought I’d look forward to coming back to Kazakhstan! I had my sisters and niece meet us in Bangkok and then we also visited family in Australia.
We had a great time away and now we have just one week left before the school year starts.
Oh my and Joshua is starting school in a week. I think I’m moving on in the next stage of parenting!!
