(another) late corner view

Well as you may have guessed I’m not in Kazakhstan right now so I was able to check out Fuoriborgo and jump into this weeks Corner view.

The theme for this week is small things…

well with a boy in the house there are many small things and I know right now he’s missing his toys., (because he’s travelling with me).  He is especially missing his legos which are so small.  Some are too small for my liking, but Josh’s little fingers are just perfect for these small things.

30 hours

yep, 30 hours of travelling time to get from one side of the world to the other to bring my daughter back to school for another term.

It was long, uncomfortable at times and stressful.  Oh yeah, airports can be stressful.  But when you’re 5 year old is going with the flow and being such a trooper you gotta put on your big mama pants and ‘go with the flow’ too.

Well we finally get to lie flat and every time I do this I am so thankful for the simple things – like lying horizontally!!

Renee goes straight back to school not long after we arrive,  but at least we’ll get some shuteye before that.

mine’s a day late

but really I’ve been a few months late.

Because of where I live I notice that some blogs have been blocked.  Don’t know why and will not go asking!!

Anyway I participate in Corner View but haven’t been lately, but there is always a way.

So I managed to find out what the theme was for yesterday by visiting the blogs of those I know who do CV… and so here’s my post..

If your’re wondering what Corner View is – well it’s where bloggers from all over the world post/blog about their corner.  There is usually a theme and you interpret it anyway you like.

This weeks theme – Inspiration!

And my inspiration is……..

W – O – R – D – S.

words inspire me. beautifully and poetically written.   Quotes, little saying.  They get me thinking.  They inspire me.

like these words..

Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love, work, play and to look up at the stars…..

Henry Van Dyke.

I was on a beach in Thailand and the calendar changed for us in Atyrau.

it was the first day of Spring.  a time for renewal, rejuvenation and regrowth!!

Yippee….  that makes me happy!!

I’m an island girl and cold weather just isn’t right for me.  I have to admit this winter has been a mild one.  Not too cold and not much snow either.  which was disappointing but hey at least we didn’t have to trek through snow just to go out to the markets.

And now it’s the 3rd day of April.  Gosh the days seem to be going by fast.  So much to do in such little time.  I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. But one day at a time.  little by little I’ll get things done.

I really should make a list…..yep.  That’s what I’m going to do, make a list.

how about you?  Are there obvious signs of the change in seasons?  Are you spring cleaning yet?  Do you have to do lists?

Do share…

and they’re back ….

at school!!

I’m not going to lie  - I did a happy dance this morning.  To be honest I think my kids too are happy to be in Atyrau, back at school and not on a plane!

They are their happiest when they’re home.  And everything goes back to normal.

And as for me, well I’m happy to get back to schedules, having to do lists, exercise, homework and eating well!

Yes, eating well!

anyway how are things with you all?  I’ve missed visiting many of you and just seeing what’s happening on your side of the world!!

take care….

happiness to you all!!
